Cupcakes for a Cause
CancerCare’s 4th annual Cupcakes for a Cause will be held during the week of October 15-21, 2007 in bakeries and bake sales across the country. The proceeds raised during this fun family event will benefit the CancerCare for Kids® Program, which provides free, professional support services to more than 1,300 children affected by cancer and their families each year. During last year’s Cupcakes for a Cause, more than 100 participating bakeries sold cupcakes with the CancerCare for Kids® logo and donated part of their proceeds to CancerCare for Kids. The event raised more than $50,000 and received nearly 20 million media impressions, as Cupcakes for a Cause was featured on the NBC Today Show, the CBS Early Show, The New York Times, and the Chicago Tribune, as well as in industry publications and websites. The event continues to grow each year, and 2007 promises to be the most successful Cupcakes for a Cause to date.
